A Word of Caution
Reading this cookbook could be dangerous to your health. Not from eating the delicious creations within, but from Dave Hamilton's cartoons. They are sure to produce chuckles, guffaws and belly slaps---dangerous stuff when you have a mouth full or are preparing meals with sharp knives and hot utensils.
    So we suggest that you find a safe place to settle down for some entertainment. Look at each cartoon carefully. Dave is famous for "almost" hidden comical treasures. For instance, in addition to the potluck creatures,  look closely at the fireplace in this cartoon.
